Faculty & Staff

The mediocre teacher tells.
The good teacher explains.
The superior teacher demonstrates.
The great teacher inspires.

Fond Farewell

We bid farewell to a few teachers this year. Their innings have come to a close after many years of dedicated, fruitful service to Loyola. We wish them luck in any future endeavour they undertake. May God Almighty fulfill all their dreams for the future & make all their wishes come true too.

Mr. Venkatrao Hari
Mr. Hari has played a vital role in the institution for the last 26 years. He has always been a pillar of strength for each of us here at Loyola. His help, advice and timely guidance have always been welcome. He has been a very patient listener and his words of wisdom and encouragement have never failed to bring a smile back on to our lips in our moments of distress. His light gait, with a little occasional jump in the step, his smile accompanied by very cheerful and meaningful song will always be remembered by all of us. His contribution towards the fields of Maths & Science will never be paralleled in the immediate future. His visit to NASA was a feather in the cap for all of us.

Mrs. Prabha Venkatakrishnan
Mrs. Venkatkrishnan, our Junior College Maths teacher, has served our institution for more than 23 years. She is a multifaceted personality. She has written books to make Hindu mythology understandable to growing minds. Her talents have helped the staff on many occasions when we were on stage. She has written and directed many plays with great distinction and success. Her cheerful & friendly smile allows anybody to approach her with utmost ease.

Mrs. Pramodini Potdar
Mrs. Pramodini Potdar has been teaching at Loyola since 1982. She has been a dedicated teacher, always willing to her students and colleagues. A very artistic person, she has drawn many a ‘Rangoli’ design when the occasion needed it. A nature lover, she has arranged nature trips & accompanied her students on those trips. She has keenly participated in many activities related to science & environment.

Miss Usha Ohol
Miss Usha Ohol has taught at Loyola for 13 years. She set an example for the students by her strict discipline. Inculcating exemplary manners, improving handwriting & creating awareness of punctuality in students are things for which Miss Ohol will be always remembered.  She has also contributed a great deal in organising Marathi dramas & dances for the school functions.

Mr. Anthon. A. Lobo

Mr. A. A. Lobo worked for 38 years in the office. Initially he was working in the Physics laboratory. Later he joined the school office as a clerk. He managed all accounts and correspondence. He was dedicated to his work so much so that even the principals found him more strict than them. This helped to maintain the purity and integrity of the school office. He rarely showed his presence but worked silently being aware of everything around. He always made his presence felt during the staff picnics through his old melodies in Hindi, Marathi and Konkani. Wish you a happy retired life.
